Lamb Leads in New Poll

An Emerson poll released today found Connor Lamb, a Democrat, leading Rick Saccone, a Republican, in the PA-18 Special Election. The poll showed Lamb leading Saccone 48-45 with a 4.8 point margin of error. The race has been a dead heat recently, as Lamb has gained momentum and outraised Saccone, despite not accepting money from Super PACs. Trump won PA-18 by 20 points, but the average Democratic swing in special elections this year is 27 points.

The election is next Tuesday, March 13. Joe Biden will campaign for Lamb, while Trump is expected to campaign for Saccone. Unlike the GA-06 special elections, this race has not been nationalized and focuses on issues specific to voters.
