Disney Announces Earnings

Disney (DIS) released their Q1 earnings today. Analysts estimated an EPS of $1.61 and revenue of $15.45 billion. Disney announced an EPS of $1.89 and revenue of $15.35 billion. Disney also announced their new streaming service, ESPN Plus, which will be released this spring alongside a new ESPN app. The ESPN Plus streaming service would provide live sports shows and other live shows for only $4.99 a month.

Disney’s stock is up 2% in after-hours, and is down about 3% year over year.
